Fall In LOVE With Your Skin!

It's officially fall, my favorite season! It's beautiful with the leaves changing colors, getting to wear cute fall clothes - sweaters, leggings, and etc! That also means the temps are going to be fluctuating up and down and having that dry air coming in. Our skin can take a big impact from it, especially if we don't show it some love. Are you still continuing with your skin care routine, even though it's not summer? Are you keeping it happy, healthy, and hydrated? What is the 3 Step Process and why is that beneficial to my skin and personal life?

Why does my skin need the 3 H rule - Happy, Healthy, and Hydrated? Let’s be real, who doesn’t like being happy, so why not be happy in our own beautiful skin! Inorder for us to be truly happy in our own skin, we need to treat it how we want to be treated, with love and kindness.

Self care is so so so important for you personally, mentally, and physically, especially with the holidays coming up. (Crazy to even think that the end of the year is coming fast!) Experts say that just a quick 30 minutes to yourself has a huge impact on how good it makes you feel. I know most people have a skin care routine where they apply 7 products because it benefits them differently and others only apply 1 or 2 products. What is considered the "normal, daily skin care routine”? Here is an example, AM (Cleanser, Toner, Moisturize, & Sunscreen.) PM (Makeup Remover, Cleanser, Toner, Serum, & Night Moisturizer.) Now this is considered "the norm" but it's not for everybody. Personally, I do 'Cleanser, Moisturizer, Sunscreen, and then Makeup routine in the AM. Makeup Remover, Cleanser, Acne Treatment, and Moisturizer in the PM.' Here are the products I use

AM Products:

Oxygen Wash (AM/PM) Trio (AM/PM) Sunscreen

PM Products:

Makeup Remover Oxygen Wash (AM/PM) Acne Cream Trio (AM/PM)

Like I stated before, not everyone's the same, these are just what are beneficial for my skin and work for me.

3 - Step Process - Exfoliate, Hydrate, and Educate.

Exfoliation is super important for our skin! It benefits your skin by breaking up the pigmented cells and removing the buildup of dry, dead skin. (Unclogs pores, prevents acne, evens skin tone, etc). If we want to help our skin retain a healthy glow and be smooth with a soft texture as we mature. Exfoliation and moisturizing can help our complexion transform from that nasty dull, dry, rough skin to soft, smooth, and glowy!

Hydration is also another important nourishment for our skin. The epidermis (outermost layer of the skin) needs that moisture to flush away toxins and carry needed nutrients to the skin cells that they are missing. This helps with prevention of wrinkles and aging lines, as we all HATE to see on our bodies. Keeping it hydrated, rejuvenates our skin so it looks soft and feels smooth to the touch.

- HydraFacials are such a good way to remove that dirt, dead skin and refurbish it with the needed healthy moisture. Plus we have a nice glow and feel SUPER clean after a good session. *Chef kiss* Along with that summer heat and sun, IPL’s are a great way in the fall to help our skin refresh with sun reversal treatments and get those sun damaged, aging, brown or red spots under control.

Educate. Since working at the Med Spa under Lori (Certified Medical Aesthetic RN), I personally have learned so much about why skin care is so important, especially starting at a young age. I figured I would take the time to teach people about why skin care is a priority in our day to day activities. And why we need to show it love. It makes us personally feel comfortable in our skin and by taking the proper care of ourselves and our skin we will be happy, healthy, and glowy. We love getting compliments on how we look, that makes us feel really good and smile from ear to ear for the rest of the day.
