Vampire facial™, Vampire lift™, Vampire Hair Restoration™
Why are the treatments called Vampire™? Dr. Charles Runels took PRP (protein rich plasma therapy) to the next level. He trademarked the name & technique of the treatment. SAS Med Spa's aesthetic R.N. attended Dr. Runel's training because we feel consistent technique will achieve consistent results.
PRP (protein rich plasma) is a treatment method to enhance the body's ability to heal itself. PRP therapy uses injections of a concentration of a patient's own platelets to accelerate skin healing, encourage collagen growth and repair damaged skin cells. The PRP ingredients: blood platelets and plasma are packed with growth factors and protein building blocks. These key ingredients help repair damaged skin cells and build new collagen. With only a small blood sample from the client's arm, we extract platelet rich plasma and then inject or infuse this powerful serum into targeted areas to give this skincare treatment an extra regenerative boost. PRP is becoming the treatment of choice to improve the appearance of wrinkles, acne scars and dark circles under the eyes. Also PRP is used for hair restoration. Protein rich plasma is a successful treatment for restoring hair with natural looking results.
Several years ago Kim K. shared a bloody selfie on her Instagram and the popularity of the The Vampire Facial™ soared. At the time of her treatment, she was pregnant, therefore, no numbing medication was used prior to her treatment. At SAS Med Spa, we use the highest concentrated numbing ointment. Also, we would not perform this treatment on a pregnant client. Although not pain free, all of our clients conquer the treatment without difficulty.
